Yves offered this backing to the Les Paul Forum back in September '05. I was a lot less confident in my recording, mixing and playing then and I was likely to play real slow and try and keep three contrasting layers going. Worked out fairly well on this one, though. I remixed it this morning for additional clarity and better mastering...

once again a fine take.
I like the layer work so much.
For me your take shows a lot of "Clayville" sounds and licks and not so much Gilmour stuff.
So there is no need to compare.

the new mix sounds really good to my ears.

You created a fine atmosphere and took me on a fine ride with your melodic, controlled and restrained playing. The Tele sounds very fine too and the three layers worked together so well.
