Hi Guys!
My take doesn't really go anywhere, but I had fun playing it and shaping the sound so that it sounded good right where it was (if that makes any sense).
This was a Nashville Tele into a Crybaby Classic and a Womanizer pedal (twice) with delays and reverb added later in ProTools.

hi clay,
wow, that´s it, the wah-support in the back - the missin´ link in this fine backing. and a cool, relaxed and laidback feel in there. reminds me to a very latenight discoevent with a last martini on the rocks.
cheers
greets hayman

Without actually going back and checking, I was trying to recall the elements of middle years Steely Dan... what sorts of sounds do they use to fill the gaps and hold the groove? All I could remember about "missing sounds", besides the Brecker Brothers, was the wah.
I keep trying to get better on the more subtle varieties of this sort of footwork, without much success or control. I can't seem to consistently do two things at once. So far, only seems to work for me sitting down, and I usually loose the groove if I'm not swaying!

Hi Clayville,
cool track. Was bringing me back to the seventies, espescially your wahwahthing... 70th is cool, not only as the original composition comes from this time....
keep on grooving

Hi Clay.....
really nice production and mix.
oh, no big deal,
just a four bar chord entry in the "Band in a box", "arranged" in the Fusion-Shuffle style...
imported to Cubase and played by some Halion Samples....
really no big deal ;-)
but fun to play over it....
Watch my contribution....comin' soon

Hi Clay,
nice wahwah work with the rhythm guitar, the wah fits the lead parts as well, very relaxed
feel and phrasing throughout with nice bluesy melodies, a great take for relaxing in the lounge ;-)
