Hi!
Martin's recent post reminded me that I had done this take a few months ago and never posted it. It sounds better to me now than it must have then, but it's really just a moody, dreamy sort of thing.
AJ 22 - Clay
I think this was a Gibson CS-356 recorded direct through a Crybaby and a Womanizer with PSP delays added.
Cheers,
Clay

hi clay!
very smooth playing and a great sound!
how did you get this kind of delay-sound for the rhythm guitar? tape-delay?

Thanks Martin!
I just went back to the file to have a look. The rhythm tracks had the PSP 84 delay plug-in on it twice:
The first one was set it's "Warm Slapback" setting, which I think is a little wrongly named -- it's a pretty dramatic quick repeat the way i have it's wet/dry mix set.
The second one was set to "1/4-1/8 Feedback->R" which is a fairly basic stereo delay repeating 1/4 notes and 1/8 notes. I think the "feedback->R" part means it's pushing the repeats-to-fade toward the right. But I'm not really sure!
With the two versions of the plug on the same track, I believe the first slapback echo gets added into the sound before the 1/4 & 1/8 note delays... pretty much a happy accident, but it set up a nice shimmer behind the wah lead.
Thanks for asking.
