Hi guys!

I had a chance to hit this one last week when Wolfgang offered it to the Les Paul Forum. This was the first of several takes, and even though I was recording way too hot through an unfamiliar PodXT setting I cooked up I liked the feel of it better than the ones that came after. This is all CS-356, direct through a Pod, with some tone tweaking in ProTools.

I'm really happy that you posted your wonderful take also over here.

You know, I'm really digging your playing, but - as I said across the pond - this take is something special, because you played so soulful and there are some heartfelt lines which I really love.

Hm, ist das 'ne idiomatische Redewendung? Kenne ich nicht - also wörtlich übersetzt hieße das: Ich soll ein Leben bekommen - gute Idee, was mache ich dann mit dem, das ich schon habe? Ääh ja, gegen ein besseres tauschen - gerne, hast du eins für mich? <:-)

Hi Clay,

although it was a "Pod experiment" you still got your trademark clean tone with that
slight wooden honk and great dynamics in this one, that small room reverb fits perfectly,
tasteful and very emotional playing with a great laid back feel!
