Hi Uli, das kommt ein wenig auf die Art von Coverband an. Es gibt ja Tributebands da ist wahrscheinlch ganz egal, ob man z.B. auf die Musik tanzen kann, da zählt dann vielleicht ein hoher Grad an Authentizität. Mit unserer Band Discover (nein, leider ist der Name nicht Programm, wir spielen manche Songs auch in Eb) machen wir sogenannte gehobene Unterhaltungsmusik.
Unsere Aufgabe ist es entweder Menschen dazu zubringen abzutanzen und zu feiern oder wir solle Events stimmungsvoll untermalen. Unser Programm ist daher immer ein kleiner Kompromiss. Aber wir spielen keinen Titel, bei dem eins unsere Bandmitglieder Pickel bekommen würde. Ansonsten spielen wir nur was wir mögen. Und sogen. Hasstitel verfremden wir oft so, dass wir sie mögen. Dann kann es passieren, dass da Songs von Marianen Dosenbier genauso auftauchen wie Sachen von Steely Dan, Pat Metheny aber auch Silbermond.
Also Prostitution würde ich das nicht bezeichnen. Es ist bei uns halt ein Job, der öfter mal Spaß macht.
