zum Thema Tremolo / Soundverlust / Abhilfe hier eine sehr interessant Aussage von Mike von KCA NOS Tubes:

"It's the off resistance of the tremolo opto that's in question. The lower the resistance, the more volume and tone suckage. Vintage and cheap new trem "bugs" are very inconsistent and not very "light tight" which puts them in a semi-on state, creates low resistance to ground, and sucks tone and signal level.
Simply removing the opto isn't the best solution as a)you lose tremolo and b) the circuit depends on some loading from the trem opto. The result can be muddy signal at volumes above 4.
The best solution I've found is to use one of Vintage Jon's "surf bugs". These have very low insertion loss (high resistance in the off state) and offer improved tone with tremolo off, and more intense tremolo when on.
Highly recommended.
The tremolo only affects the tremo channel to any significant degree.
