"I've had the oppurtunity to A/B the Weber 1230 55 and 75 models with the same amp(s). They have pretty diffrent EQ curves, for sure. The 75 has a ton more high end sizzle, the 55 has a pronounced mid dip, really big low end and a very smooth, subdued treble. The 55 sounds best to me in an open back cab. It can be a little dark overall but tames real zingy amps nicely. I dont like it at all with black/silver face Fenders, it pairs very well with Brit style el-84 amps.
