I'm not real thrilled with how this turned out... sometimes when I put a lot of "effort" into a backing, I'm just too burned out to do something that lives up to it. This ended up pretty thick and unfocused...
My take over at Soundclick
Cheers,
Clay

Well done , Clay - I love that ... :-)
Finally a recording that I also can hear ... great performance !!!

Hi Clay,
sorry for the copy-and-paste-thing - at least I didn't use the term "relaxed" this time ;-) I like the spacy delay and the funky, biting chords. The big wailin' wahwah adds some flavour, too, great multitracking, a nice contrast to those little dry to the bone lead spots.

Thanks!
I think I slammed the final mix a little too hard with the compressor/limiter. It was fun to try it, but I think in the end all the elements ended up being weighed a bit too evenly in the mix...

Hi Clay,
your takeover fits perfectly in the backing. I like that psychodelic playing very much.
For me it does not sound burned out at all.

Hi Clay,
hey that was funky and loose (in a good way).
The different layers combine really fine, the Wah added a fine flavor, those chords were kind of spooky and your sustained lead lines were the icing on the cake.
Great listen, cheers
